Samaca 29
María del Carmen (La Baña)
Samaca 29 comes from the quarry located in La Baña (León, Spain), operated as an open-pit site. The deposit belongs to Upper Ordovician formations (approximately -455 to -435 million years), characterised by high-quality slate formed under geological conditions that favour fissility and durability.
This is a black slate with a fine grain and a rustic texture. It features medium fissility and good flexural strength, ensuring homogeneity and durability in roofing.
