Samaca 49<\/h1>\n

Mar\u00eda del Carmen quarry (Ultimoreo)<\/h2>\n

SAMACA 49 comes from the Mar\u00eda del Carmen quarry, located in the locality of Ultimoreo (La Ba\u00f1a), within the municipality of Encinedo, province of Le\u00f3n (Spain). It is an open-pit operation belonging to the Rozadais formation of the Upper Ordovician (approximately 455\u2013435 million years ago). The quarry has been in operation since the 1980s.<\/p>\n

This is a grey slate with a medium grain and a rustic texture. It features a medium degree of fissility, ensuring good homogeneity and reliable performance in roofing.<\/p>\n
