Samaca 33<\/h1>\n

Os Foyos Quarry <\/strong> (Carballeda de Valdeorras)<\/h2>\n

SAMACA 33 comes from the Os Follos quarry, located in O Alto da Cova at an altitude of approximately 1,700 m, within the municipality of Carballeda de Valdeorras (Ourense, Spain). The quarry has been in operation since the 1960s and is worked as an open-pit site. It belongs to the Rozadais formation of the Upper Ordovician (approximately 455\u2013435 million years ago).<\/p>\n

This is a black slate with a very fine grain and a striated texture. It features a very high degree of fissility and excellent flexural strength, ensuring high homogeneity and outstanding performance in roofing.<\/p>\n
